Perhaps you are like me and as you get older, you find yourself with more and more respect for the Romans? I know that I do. You see the Romans loved their bath houses and water features, and spared no expense in bringing in their water from afar. Their aqueducts were an engineering marvel and the Romans loved to indulge in bathing, saunas, showers and the like. Ah, the life of luxury and now in America, we find ourselves in a similar situation. The Middle Class in America is living with abundance of Jacuzzis, swimming pools, baths, showers, clubs, day spas, hot springs and well you name it.
Of course, we all know that water is a scarce resource, well that is to say that fresh water has become a scarce resource due to our over use, over building and over populating of many regions of our nation. No, the US is not alone in our water challenges, but, we know that each and every one of us must conserve water. So, how can we enjoy the luxury of bathing, showers and such in the privacy of our own homes and still conserve this precious resource that provides all life on Earth?
There are many ways to conserve water with home baths or in-door Jacuzzi like tubs. By purchasing a shape that contours with the body unnecessary space can be taken up and thus less water volume is needed to fill it. Powerful jets put soothing air-bubbles into the water, increasing the volume without increasing the amount of water.
For showers, we all know that with special articulating shower nozzles you can get the same intense pressure with half or even a third of the water usage. So, I want you to be thinking here, you can live like a Roman, just be sure to leverage these new technologies so you do not waste like a Roman.
